Backstage

During the Couture Fashion Week I worked backstage, which I had never done before. I`ve always heard people saying that backstage is the most stressful position, and especially dressing the models. They`ve told me that the models are often rude and that you are not as much appreciated for the work you do. So I kind of showed up with mixed feelings. However, this is some of the funniest thing I've done through fashion week. We got to see how everything worked behind the scenes, take a closer look at all the dresses and other pieces of the collections, and meet the designers. And most important; the models were super nice! They appreciated everything we were doing and thanked us a lot. Between the shows we actually sat down and got to know some of them pretty well.

Some small rules that could be vice to remember when you work as a volunteer:
* Dress in all black. Very important!
* Remember that some periods could be really calm and almost boring, followed by super stressful moments when you have to work very hard.
* Try to be nice and smile to everyone, even though some might have an attitude back.
* It is a great experience to learn how a fashion show is put together and to see the complexity of it.
